God has given to mankind nature’s treasure in so many forms and in so many shapes but the present man has deformed the forms and misshaped the shapes. Mountain sand rivers, fields and forests have been assigned by the Creator to play their part for I In- welfare of the best of his creations — Man. But man has completely mistaken these bounties and misused them in his utter self-interest which mistake and misuse is found as resulting in the mauling of his being and in the murdering of his self. But the modern man still does not see the doom looming large before him. So blinded is he by the sense of his immediate gain. Trees are one such boon bestowed on mankind. They form such an important part in our well-being and play such significant role in our healthy living. But man's lust for more and more of more...

Last Sunday I saw an accident. It is still fresh in my mind. A child was trying to cross the road. A car came from the opposite direction. The driver tried to save the child. But a bus, coming from the opposite direction ran into the car- The driver of the bus had only minor injuries. The car driver was seriously injured. People gathered there. Some passengers of the bus also got light injuries. Some of them needed profusely. Some went to inform the police. Seriously injured persons were sent to hospital. Injured persons were given first aid. The bus driver was arrested. It was a very bad accident. I shall not be able to forget it for a long time.

Dussehra is a popular festival celebrated by Hindus all over India. It is also known as Vijayadashmi. It is celebrated in the month of October. It is celebrated all over India. It is celebrated in the memory of Lord Rama. Lord Rama killed the demon-king, Ravana and won over Lanka, his kingdom. In other words, it signifies the triumph of good over evil. Dusshera is celebrated for ten days. Many dramatic clubs play ramlila on Rama's life. Thousands of people gather to see the ramlila. We can learn many lessons from Ram Leela. Big Effigies of Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbhkaran are set fire on Dusshera day. The festival comes to an end after 'Bharat Milap'. Hindus call Lord Ram as MaryadaPurushotam.

The crow is a very useful bird. They can be seen here, there and everywhere. It is a big bird. Its colour is grey or black. It has a long, black strong beak and a tail. It caws loudly. It has sharp eyesight. Crows live on trees and in big groups. It is found sitting on a roof or on a tree. Its cawing is very harsh. It is really a great friend of man. It keeps the environment clean. It eats up and removes so many dirty things. A crow is a natural cleaner. It is a clever bird and can steal our eatables. It is afraid of men and animals, especially dogs. Bread, butter milk, eggs, flesh, sweets, dirt, are its food. Thus, a crow is a very common bird. Some people do not like it; others think it to be lucky. I do not hate it.

Our country is very rich in fruits. They are of many kinds, shapes and sizes. They also have different smells, tastes and colours. Mangoes, peaches, plums, cherries, bananas, papayas, grapes, melons are some of the well- known fruits. Like fruits. But mango and cherries are my favourites.  I relish them the most. I also like mango-juice, pickle and jam. There are many varieties of mangoes. The mango is the king of fruits. It is sweet, delicious and slightly sour. It contains a large quantity of minerals and vitamins and is highly digestive and nutritious. Fruits are a rich source of vitamins, minerals, iron and proteins. Some of the fruits are seasonal. The others are available all the year round. Some are expensive while others are cheap.

The greatest gift God hay provided to man is nature. Nature is at its most beautiful early in the morning. The air is fresh and free of dust and smoke. We can enjoy it, if we go for a morning walk. In cities like ours it is only at this time that the roads are not crowded. There is hardly any traffic. One can enjoy the walk. As one walks, the worries and anxieties vanish away the feet stride out in a joyful rhythm. The sheer delight of movement is enough to make the day. In the morning the nature is at its best. The dew-drops on lush green grass and leaves of plants look like pearls. The birds sing cheerfully an early walker feasts his eyes and ears on such sights and sounds.
