Population in India is increasing rapidly. It is called 'Population Explosion'. Illiteracy, control over death rates, religious beliefs, poverty and ignorance are the causes of population problem. Medical science has greatly checked the death rate. Unfailing means should also be invented to check birth- r.ite. If we fail to check the birth-rate, we shall fail in every field. At present, India's population is more than one hundred crores. It is the root cause of poverty. No nation can progress without controlling over-population. The citizens should be educated about the advantages of a small family. The government should give incentive and popularize means to check the increase in population. Otherwise it will be too late.
