Manta Rays are cartilaginous fishes which live in warm-coastal waters and found throughout the world. They are also known as devil fish, devil rays and sea bats. They have a distinctive flat and wide body which can reach up to 7 m in width. They may be very large, but are harmless to humans.

The stick insects which can grow up to 400 mm long, are the longest insects.

The most dangerous of a birds are all 3 species of cassowary which live in New Guinea and North- Eastern Queensland (Australia). They are large birds measuring up to 2 m and on each foot they have 3 pointed toes. Its kick is powerful enough to rip open a person's stomach or even kill.

The highest flight ever made by a bird was by the Ruppell's vulture, which hit a plane at an altitude of 11,277m.

Elephant, which can live over 70 years, is the longest living mammal.

The largest single cell is an ostriches egg, which is about 20 cm long.

The jackrabbit can broad jump up to 15 ft when racing at top notch speed.

Edible mushrooms grow to their full size within 7 days.

Coco-de-mer, a heart-shaped nut which weighs 20 kg, is the largest seed in the world. It grows only in Seychelles in the Indian Ocean and takes 6 years to mature.

An ant can lift two and a half  times of its own weight.
