Introduction. ‘News' has four letters. These four letters stand for four directions-North east, West, South. Reports from four directions are given the name 'News'. The paper on which reports are printed is called 'newspaper'.

Advantages of Newspaper. Newspaper has its own advantages. The main advantages are as under:-

1. Supply mental food. From the newspapers we come to know what is going on in the world. They increase our general knowledge. They supply food to our hungry mind.

2. Means of advertisement. Newspapers are good means of advertisement. They help the business. There are news about the manufactured articles, quoi.il ions of prices and rates of commodities. We get all types of information from thcm4 social, political, commercial and educational there is one magazine section in them. In this section there is the list of the latest books. This section is very useful for the students. They get the books other’s choice. Business Concerns give their advertisements. There are advertisements of medicines. The sick people may buy medicines for their use.

3. Matrimonial. There is matrimonial in the newspapers. This news helps people to solve the problem of finding the suitable matches. People select matches of their choice by personal contact.

4. Wants and situation column. A newspaper is very important for unemployed and under-employed persons. 'Wants' are given on the second page of the newspaper. The unemployed persons come ' to know about the vacancies. They apply for the post Stable to them.

5. Lost and found column. There is one column 'Lost and Found'. The persons and things lost are advertised in this column.

6. Sale-purchase of property. Moveable and immoveable properties, motor cars and other things for sale are advertised. The needy people purchase them.

7. Children corner. Children corner gives useful and interesting stories, tit-bits, and moral tales. They are good mental food for children.

8. Women's Section. This section is very useful for women. It contains many household problems. There are sometimes the methods of preparing special dishes or some sort of sweaters.

9. Knowledge of outside world. From newspapers we come to know all kinds of news about other countries. In case if there is any natural calamity such as, earthquakes, famine or Hood in any country people show sympathy and help the people in trouble. Now- a- days no country can exist without the help of the other countries.

Conclusion. In India, the future of newspaper is very bright as the reading public would grow more and more.
