The evil of price rise

Every day the rise in prices of all necessities of life is very harmful. The poor are hard hit. They cannot make both ends' meet respectably. They live from hand to mouth. They have very meagre (little) to spend.

Time and again we see the price index takes an upward long jump. The prices of all house hold articles have begun to touch the sky. It disturbs the family budget very badly.

The middle-class people who are mostly salaried class, face great sufferings. Their sorrows are endless. They keep up their face by borrowing or seeking hand loans. Their position is extremely tight.

The frequent price rise affects the purchasing power. Money loses its face value. It is no more a standard money. The value of Indian rupee in the International money market has fallen down abruptly. Even a heavy pay packet of 'thousands' fail to purchase a bag full of articles.

One has to put a brake on his wants and needs which are ever-increasing. They say do not delimit your needs but increase your means of income so as to cope with the rising prices. The things are becoming dearer day by day.

They are becoming beyond the approach of the common man. He looks at them with wishful eyes. The cooking gas, petrol, edibles, corn and cloth are becoming costlier every day. The Government should rise to the occasion. It must check this inordinate (excessive) rise in prices. The situation is growing very alarming. It is greatly grim and gruesome. There is little hope of its salvage (relief). Let the government take drastic steps to control it. It must curtail

its wasteful expenditure.

Too much tours and jaunts by the politicians and ministers to the foreign countries must be stopped at once. Let us be austere. 'Simple living and high thinking' should be our national motto. Simplicity is the only alternative against these sky rocketing prices.
