A library is a store house where different types of books are kept. It is a place of studies and knowledge. Those who have quest for knowledge go there to enhance it.

Our school library is housed in a big hall in one corner of school building. The hall is well furnished with tables and chairs. The hall is well lighted and airy.

The surroundings are calm and quiet. 'Silence is gold' is written on the board which is fixed on the wall outside the library hall. In our library, more than fifty students can sit at a time. We can find books on almost all subjects.

English as well as Hindi novels and magazines are there. The books are neatly arranged in bright wooden cupboards.

There are books on Science, Social Science, Commerce, Fine Arts, English and Hindi literature. There are many books for small children. One cupboard is full of story books for children.

Tables and chairs are very comfortable.

Students sit and read there. Magazines and Journals are displayed on the tables. These magazines are very useful for us. They keep one in touch with burning topics of the day.

Mr. Sharma is our School Librarian. He is highly educated man. His manner is cheerful but he maintains discipline.

We have regular library period. Each student has been issued two cards. We have to obey the rules of the library.

The librarian helps the students in selecting the books also. Two books are issued at a time for a fortnight. If someone is late in returning the books, he has to pay fine.

The students' who spoil the books are 'punished by him. Mr. Sharma is a very busy man. All the time he is seen arranging the books.

He consults the heads of the various departments when there is money to purchase a few new books. Library occupies an important place in a school.

Teachers as well as students get benefit from the treasure house. Library is life of the school as it provides knowledge to all.
