I belong to Hapur. It is a large town in the district of Ghaziabad. It is located on the Delhi-Bareilly highway, about 70 km from Delhi.
It is a thickly populated town. It is chiefly populated along the highway. Its population is about 3 lakh. Its population comprises of Hindus and Muslims. There are many Sikh and Jain families too. The people of the town are hard-working and sincere. They live in peace in cooperation with one another. My town is expanding fast; new colonies coming up.
The chief occupation of the people in my town is business. The goods are chiefly brought from Delhi for resale. A large number of people also serve in different industries and offices in Ghaziabad and Delhi. They go by bus or train. The town is well-connected by road and train to Delhi. Kanpur, Meerut and Aligarh.
The town has several places of attraction, such as gardens and temples. Two fairs are also organized here on annual basis. The town is vibrant at the time of festivals, such as Eid, Diwali, Dussehra, Guru Purab and MahavirJayanti.
The Nagar Palika keeps the roads and streets of the town neat and clean. Water supply is good and all facilities are available. The only problem with the town is the lack of facilities for good higher education, but new educational centres are coming up slowly.
