The Gemini Circus is one of the most popular circusshows in India. It brings actors/ acrobats andperformers from various parts of the country. Theyperform tricks that attract everybody and people liketo visit the circus again and again.

The circus has lions, elephants and horses. Animals aretrained by experts and we often see dogs, rabbits, bears,monkeys etc. Performing tricks that we could never beable to imagine them being capable of. We visited the circus last week and it was a memorable experience.

We reached the circus gate at 5.00 pm and purchasedour tickets for the entrance. My classmates were with meana we were all looking forward to the gymnasticfeats and the various amazing things that the animals did.

We sat down comfortably with our packets of chips andpopcorn when all of a sudden we heard the loud trumpeting of an elephant. An acrobat sat on the elephant’s back. She suddenly began to perform on his back; she would turn around and sometimes stand onher head or on one hand.

She moved very swifty and the elephants also seemedto be very comfortable with her. Soon there came a ladywho was riding on the back of a horse. She was verycomfortable too. The horse was trotting around on the rink.

The jokers cheered us all up a lot. They were dressed incolorful clothes and their faces were painted with beautiful colours which made them look very funny. They.Had big red noses and thick red lips.

They were dwarfs dressed like jokers and they wouldplay tricks on all the animals and also amongthemselves. They slapped each other on their back pushed, pulled each other and made funny noises. They kept us in splits all through the show.

The gymnasts performed for an hour. The bodies of these gymnasts are very supple and it is amazing to see them moving their body as through it were rubber there are lions that were so tame that even I felt like going and giving them a pat on their back. They weregentle and their trainer had full control over them.

There was a motorcyclist who drove his motorbike in abig iron ball. There was a lot of noise because of this but the balance that he exhibited was praise worthy.

Men jumping through fire, women having elephantswalking over them, bears riding motorcycles etc. all these were great attractions and we came home feelingvery happy at having seen such a great show.
