A school magazine is an essential part of every good school. It is a good record to know the level of students of a school.
Generally, a school magazine is published once in a year. Our school magazine is published in the month of May just before summer vacation. The organisational work starts before the month of February. A committee is formed headed by the Headmaster. He is assisted by some teachers and students. The committee publishes a notice requesting students and teachers for their contribution in the month of February. Students and teachers contribute their poems, essays, articles, stories, travelogues, jokes, anecdotes etc. for it. The intelligent and experienced students edit the magazine and teachers lend them a helping hand.
A student becomes really proud and pleased when he finds his name and writing in print. Other students whose writings are not selected, try to develop their standard of writing for the next issue of the magazine. Thus, the school magazine inspires and prepares the promising writers of the country. It gives students a training in making judicious selection of the best writings. They also earn to write editorial notes and reports on the activities of the school. Teachers discover new talents in some of them and train them to develop their standard of writing. Naturally, our school magazine inspires us to write more efficiently. Even the students who do not care to write ordinarily try their hands at literary composition. So, a school magazine has a great importance to us. We love it very much and try to raise its standard.
