Introduction. The words 'Computer' and 'Internet' send a wave of thrill and excitement through our body. Both these are the greatest inventions of the century. Our life without the use of computer and interne appear to be dull and dreary. They add a lot to our progress and modernization. Young boys and girls have become crazy to enrol themselves for computer-internet courses. In a very short spell of time many colleges and institutions have emerged for computer courses. These types of courses j are job-oriented so the students are quite safe and sure about their future.
Importance of Computer. Computer has transformed our day to day working facilities. Wherever you go in offices, schools, colleges and malls, etc. the computer is there to welcome you. All the banks, offices and institutions have computerized records. Even in all govt. and private schools the attendance of teachers and students is sent through computer everyday. Weekly syllabus of all the subjects has been displayed on the Directorate of Education web-site. The clothes are woven and pattern or shades of sweater and pullovers are made with the help of computer.
The Role of Computer + Internet. Internet means latest advanced information technology. It has connected all the national, international educational, industrial, govt. and semi-govt. institutions. We can advertise our products even in international markets. Sitting at home anybody can get application form, read books from any library, talk to your favourite actor and avail any information he/she needs. Through E-mail facility we cannot only talk but watch our relative on the computer monitor. In computer language it is called 'Multi Media' facility. It has brought revolutionary changes in the fields of stock-exchange, industry and investigation.
Disadvantages. There is a flood of cyber-cafe (computer + internet facility shops). Many students keep sitting there in different chambers, play games on computer and connects with someone's web-site for idle- gossips. They waste their precious time as well as money. Sometimes even a small virus can destroy the whole-function. We cannot operate on computer in case of Server-Busy. All the banks are computerized, there is no mannual work possible so we find a lot of problems when there is 'System-Down' condition. Computer is one of the main causes of our unemployment problem.
Completion. In modem time 'Computer' has become a necessary requirement for all of us. It has been introduced in all our schools also. Even the primary schools are provided computer facility. Thousands of young boys and girls make their livings in 'call-centres'. So, our life is impossible without its use. We hope that some technical problems that we face today will be removed in the near future. So, we should follow what the time requires from us.
