My School Tuck Shop

Category : Essays

Recess is a time of great relief for both teachers and students. It is rather boring to have so many periods Continuously without a break. The recess is highlydesired after two or three periods of hard work in tin Classroom.

We can refresh ourselves and get ready to assimilatewhat the teachers teach after break. All students wait eagerly for this bell.

The moment the bell is sounded there is a great sigh of relief. There is excitement all over and students rush Out of their classes and some of them even forget that they should let their juniors go first. Boys and girls make a mad rush for the tuck shop; some go to the library while others get ready to play in the ground.

It is interesting to watch the tuck shop. Maximum number of students troop towards it. Students push Each other and they try to get all that they want to buy as soon as possible.

Some of the children go away without paying and try to trick the man in change of the tuck shop. They simply pick up eatables from the shop and trick the shopkeeper who is not able to keep a hawk's eye on each student who comes to his shop.

The docile children are always left behind. They wait patiently for their turn to come but when their patience Gate exhausted they too indulge in pushing and shoving. Sometimes the aggressive ones pick a quarrel with the others and usually the school captain has to intervene and help to restore the peace.

The captain often curses himself because he has tocheck himself from indulging in any kind of nonsense which he would normally do in the recess period. The scene one may see during this period looks like the Scene at a railway station where there are long queues at booking counters and people are going around here and there enthusiastically.

Every one pulls a long face when the bell goes. All the students disperse in various directions with speed. The rush and noise are over and the shopkeeper then heaves a sign of great relief. There is a deserted look in the school once again.
