 The Delhi government launched 'Happiness Curriculum' for school students up to class 8. The Dalai Lama, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister and education department in-charge Manish Sisodia were present at the occasion. The 'Happiness Curriculum' was termed as the third stage of reforms in the education sector initiated by his government after infrastructure development and motivation of teachers at the government schools.

 Decks have been cleared for setting up a consulate of United Arab Emirates with Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao giving his nod for it after discussions with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The establishment of the consulate would improve cordial relations between the state government and the UAE.

 Mumbai's Victorian and Art Deco Ensembles has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This was announced at the Unesco world heritage committee meeting in Bahrain. The Heritage enclave is situated in South Mumbai’s historic core and comprises an urban ensemble straddling two heritage precincts of the Fort Precinct and Marine Drive Precinct.

 Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu launched a mobile application called 'ReUnite' which helps to track and trace missing and abandoned children in India. The app is multiuser where parents and citizens can upload pictures of children, and provide detailed description like name, birthmark, address, report to the police station, search and identify missing kids. The app is available for both Android and iOS.

 The government has decided to set up two more underground crude oil storages in Odisha and Karnatakato increase emergency stockpile cover by 12 days to 22 days. The Cabinet has approved setting up of 4 million tonne (MT) storage at Chandikhole in Odisha and 2.5 MT storage at Padur in Karnataka. The announcement was made by the Finance Minister Piyush Goyal in New Delhi. The storages will be additional to the existing rock caverns to shore 5.33 MT of crude Visakhapatnam (1.33 MT), Mangalore (1.5 MT) and Padur (2.5 MT).

 External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj launched the new Passport Seva App. Now, people can apply for a passport from any part of the country through the App. EAM Sushma Swaraj has launched Mobile Passport Application on the occasion of Passport Seva Divas (26 June) in New Delhi. Police verification will be done on the address, provided by the applicant on the app and passport will be dispatched on the same address.

 The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has restricted the manufacture of Oxytocin formulations for domestic use to public sector only from 1st July 2018. It has also banned the import of Oxytocin and its formulations. Oxytocin is a naturally-occurring hormone which causes uterine contractions during labour and helps new mothers lactate. Oxytocin’s misuse is widespread in the dairy industry, where livestock are injected with oxytocin to make them release milk at a time convenient to farmers. The hormone is also used to increase the size of vegetables and fruits such as pumpkins, watermelons, brinjals, gourds and cucumbers.

 The three-day annual Sindhu Darshan Festival celebrations on the bank of Indus River started in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. The Festival was organised by Sindhu Darshan Yatra Samiti and Ladakh Phandey Tsogspa, Leh. It will be marked by the holy dip in the Indus River, hosting of the national flag and cultural programme of different areas of the country. This year marked the 22nd Sindhu Darshan festival and it was started by the former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani in 1997.

 The Centre of Excellence in Maritime & Shipbuilding (CEMS), a well-funded start-up in skill development for maritime and shipbuilding sector, has announced setting up of 24 labs -6 in Mumbai and 18 in Vizag campus. The announcement was made in the first seminar on Competencies, Employability, Methodology and Skills organized by CEMS in Mumbai. CEMS has established one of the first of its kind of infrastructure in Asia Pacific region with 24 labs. CEMS aims to build competency in the field of maritime & shipbuilding sector through skill development in the latest manufacturing technologies for shipbuilding/ repair and ancillary sectors.

 The world's first of its kind and state-of-the-art International Centre for ‘Humanitarian Forensics’ (ICHF) was launched at the Gujarat Forensic Sciences University in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The centre is a joint venture of the regional delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in India, Bhutan, Nepal and the Maldives and also Gujarat Forensic Science University. The main aim of the Centre would be to provide service to the nation and to the entire world when the need arises.
