(i) Sucrose is dextrorotatory but after hydrolysis producesdextrorotatory glucose and laevorotatory fructose. Since, the laevorotation of fructose   (-92.4°) is more thandextroratation of glucose (+52.5°), the mixture is laevorotatory andit is known as invert sugar.
