A concave mirror of focal length and produces an image n times the size of the object. If the image is real one, then the distance of the object from the mirror is

    A) \[({{n}^{2}}+1)f\]

    B) \[\left( \frac{n+1}{n} \right)f\]

    C) \[\left( \frac{{{n}^{2}}}{{{n}^{2}}+1} \right)\times \frac{1}{f}\]

    D)  None of these

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

    The minor formula is\[\frac{1}{v}+\frac{1}{u}=\frac{1}{f}\] While, v = nu it can be \[\frac{1}{nu}+\frac{1}{u}=\frac{1}{f}\] \[\Rightarrow \]\[\frac{1+n}{nu}=\frac{1}{f}\]\[\therefore \]\[u=\left( \frac{n+1}{n} \right)f\]
