The susceptibility of a paramagnetic material is \[\chi \] at \[27{}^\circ C\]. At what temperature will its susceptibility be \[\frac{x}{2}\]?

    A) \[327{}^\circ C\]

    B) \[54{}^\circ C\]

    C) \[237{}^\circ C\]

    D)        \[1600{}^\circ C\]

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

                            For paramagnetic material \[\chi \propto \frac{1}{T}\] \[\therefore \]  \[\frac{{{\chi }_{1}}}{{{\chi }_{2}}}=\frac{{{T}_{2}}}{{{T}_{1}}}\] \[\frac{\chi }{\frac{\chi }{2}}=\frac{{{T}_{2}}}{27}\] \[27\times 2={{T}_{2}}\] \[{{T}_{2}}=54{{\,}^{o}}C\]
