    The eustachian tube is a tube like structure that links the pharynx to the middle ear. It extends from the anterior wall of the nasopharynx. Each lateral wall of nasopharynx has a slit-like opening of an Eustachian tube which connects the nasopharynx with the cavity of middle ear of its side. Each lateral wall of oropharynx bears a small lymphoid node called tonsil.
