    Solution :

    Both the assertion and reason are false because a spectral line is observed when an electron comes back from the excited state to the ground state in one or more jump. In each jump it comes back to higher energy level to lower energy level corresponding to n = 1, 2, 3, 4...... are called K, L, M, N shells. So, shell must be changed.
