    Rhizobium a nitrogen fixing bacteria is symbiont of the root of legume plants (edible pea, pigeon, pea etc). Several species o: Rhizobium, grow over the root hairs release nod factors that cause curling of root hairs around the bacteria. The bacteria infects the cortical cells and produce nodule. The bacteria fixes the atmospheric nitrogen with the help of enzyme nitrogenase. Therefore, increase the soil fertility.
