    A)  Rs. 53.33 per quintal

    B)  Rs. 98.4 per quintal

    C)  Rs. 122.5 per quintal

    D)  Rs. 120 per quintal

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

     16 quintals of rice is bought. 18% of rice is wasted. \[\therefore \]Remaining quantity of rice \[=\left( \frac{16\times 82}{100} \right)\]quintals \[=13.12\]quintal C.P. of rice per quintal \[=\text{Rs}\text{.}\,\frac{1280}{13.12}\] To gain 23% S.P. per quintal = Rs. \[\left( \frac{1280}{13.12}\times \frac{123}{100} \right)\]= Rs. 120
