Mazdoor Kissan Shakti Sangathan (MKSS) took the initiative in demanding records of farmers, relief work and account of laborers. First demand was made in Rajasthan where MKSS asked for record of bills, vouchers, name of the persons involved in construction of school, dispensaries, small dams and community centers. Amendment was made in Panchayti Raj Act 1966 and government provided the copies of records to MKSS.
