(ii) Cultivation is usually done by primitive implements without the aid of machines. Only manual labour is employed in clearing the forests. (iii) Food crops such as yams, tapioca, maize, millets, beans, upland rice are the main crops grown by this method. (iv) This method results in deforestation and soil erosion.
