                    Acid rain is caused by increase in the atmospheric concentration of \[S{{O}_{2}}\] and\[N{{O}_{2}}\]. These mix with water vapour to form sulphuric acid (\[({{H}_{2}}S{{O}_{4}})\] and nitric acid \[(HN{{O}_{3}})\] respectively which falls on earth in the form of acid rain.
