                     The queen bee develops from a  fertilized egg which are specially reared on especial food, the "royal jelly". Royal Jelly is secreted by pharyngeal glands of the workers, first two days all larvae fed on royal jelly whereas larvae of queen bees are regularly fed on royal jelly.
