                    Pure hydrogen peroxide is unstable and decomposes on heating \[{{H}_{2}}{{O}_{2}}+{{H}_{2}}{{O}_{2}}\xrightarrow[{}]{{}}2{{H}_{2}}O+{{O}_{2}}\]        \[\Delta H=-196kJ\] The decomposition of\[{{H}_{2}}{{O}_{2}}\]is retarded (ie, stability is increased) by adding a small amount of acid, glycerol, alcohol or acetanilide (-ve catalyst).
