                     Enteronephric nephridia (septal nephridia) are the largest nephridia of Pheretima. A typical septal nephridia consists of three main parts i.e.,  Nephrostome : It is ciliated funnel communicating with the coelom. It consists of an elliptical pore bounded by the so called upper and lower lips.  Body of nephridia : Body consists of two pans, a short straight lobe and a long twisted lobe with a narrow apical part.  Terminal duct: Distal limb of body of nephridium ends in a short and narrow duct called terminal duct.
