III cranial nerve or oculomotor nerve is a motor proprioceptive nerve. Its pathway is from mid brain to fore eye muscle; from ciliary body to mid brain. It functions for the movement of eye and eyelid; focusing; change in pupil size and muscle sense. VII cranial nerve or facial nerve is a mixed nerve. It has a pathway from pons to facial muscles, from facial muscles and taste buds to pons. It helps in the facial movements, secretion of saliva and tears, muscle sense and taste.
