    Solution :

     Displacement = final position - initial position Displacement \[{{d}_{1}}=7-(-8)=15\,m\] Similarly, \[{{d}_{2}}=-3-7=-10\,m\] \[{{d}_{3}}=+3-(-7)=10\,\,m\] Hence, displacement is negative in case (ii).
