Consider the following equation of Bernoullis theorem \[p+\frac{1}{2}\rho {{V}^{2}}+\rho gh=k\] (Constant) The dimensions of k/p are same as that of which of the following?

    A)  Thrus

    B)  Pressure

    C)  Angle

    D)  Viscosity

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

The given equation of Bernoullis theorem is \[P+\frac{1}{2}\rho {{v}^{2}}+\rho gh=K\] where P is pressure, \[\rho \] is density, g is acceleration due to gravity and h is height. We know that every equation relating physical quantities should be in dimensional balance. It means dimensions of terms on both sides must be same. Hence, K has same dimensions as P and so \[\frac{K}{P}\] is dimensionless. Out of the given four options angle is a dimensionless quantity.
