They lack chlorophyll Alexopoulos (1952) denned fungi as nucleated,   achlorophilous organisms, which typically reproduce sexually and asexually and whose filamentous, branched somatic structures are surrounded by chitinous cell wall. The kingdom Protista contains unicellular and colonial eukaryotes like diatoms, dinoflagellates slime, moulds dilates and sporozoans. Kingdom Plantae contains multicellular, eukaryotic, photosynthetic organisms like green algae, brown algae, red algae, bryophytes, pteridophytes and spermatophytes. Kingdom Animalia contains multicellular eukaryotic organisms having ingestive type of nutrition,  organ system level of organization etc. Cells are devoid of cell wall.
