    Both mimic and model are harmful to the predator;

    A)  Batesian mimicry

    B)  warning mimicry

    C)  concealing mimicry

    D)  Mullerian mimicry

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

    In Mullerian mimicry, two or more unpalatable species resemble to each other. The Mullerian mimicry is beneficial to both model as well as mimic because if a bird has learned not to eat wasp, it has automatically also learned not to touch the ctenuchid moth which mimics the wasp. When relatively palatable and unprotected species of animals imitate the relatively unpalatable or well protected species, this type of mimicry is known as Batesion mimicry. In warning mimicry the non-poisonous and harmless organisms mimic the poisonous and harmful organism acid the palatable forms resemble and advertlye to be non palatable. In concealing type of protective mimicry the organism conceal or camouflage themselves  either by altering their colouration to fit the background or search the background which match their colour.
