    Silk is a secretory product of silk glands of the larva of Bombyx mori. The silk thread consists of an inner part made up of fibroin protein covered by envelope made of serecin protein. The silk thread contain 75% fibroin and 20 - 25% serecin. Albumins are water soluble proteins, which are coagulated by heat. e.g., Lact albumin, serum albumin, egg albumin etc. Globulins are soluble in salt solutions of strong acids and bases, e.g., serum globulin, tissue globulin, vegetable globulins.
