    A)  LH

    B)  MH

    C)  TSH

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

FSH (Follicular Stimulating Hormone) is secreted from adenohypophysis of pituitary gland. It is secreted both in males and females. In males FSH stimulates spermatogenesis and development of seminiferous tubules whereas in females it stimulates formation and growth of ovarian follicles in ovary. LH (Luteinizing Hormone) stimulates the corpus luteum of ovary to secrete progesterone in female whereas activates the Leydig cells of the testes to secrete androgens in male. TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) is secreted from adeno-hypophysis and controls the growth and activity of thyroid gland. Prolactin hormone (Mammotrophin hormone MTH) is also secreted from anterior lobe of pituitary and its main physiological effect is to activate growth of breasts during pregnancy and secretion of mammary glands after birth.
