Suspension of isolated thylakoids in culture medium containing \[C{{O}_{2}}\]and \[{{H}_{2}}O\] does   produce hexose due to absence of which of the following?

    A)  ATP

    B)  Enzyme

    C)  Proteins

    D)  Hill reagent

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

Photosynthesis takes place in organized chloroplast, as photophosphorylation by chemiosmotic manner along thylakoids membrane and dark reaction in stroma of  chloroplast. Suspension of isolated thylakoids in colture medium containing \[C{{O}_{2}}\] and \[{{H}_{2}}O\] does not produce hexose due to absence of enzyme required for various reactions of dark phase photosynthesis. Proteins are polymers of amino acids. These are formed on ribosome during protein   synthesis.
