Downs syndrome (mongolism) is an autosomal abnormality. It is due to trisomy of 21sr chromosome. The trisomy is due to failure of separation of chromosomes, during meiosis. Kiinefelters syndrome is abnormality of sex chromosomes. It results in XXY chromosomes. The testes in such male remain under developed and secondary sex characters of female developed (like breast, loss of facial hair).
