    B)  GH

    C)  prolactin

    D)  LH

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

Sertoli cells are the cells that line the seminiferous tubules in the tesris. These cells protect the spermatids and convey nutrients to both the developing and mature Spermatozoa. Senoli cells are regulated by FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) as the FSH receptors are confined to the Sertoli cells. FSH stimulates Sertoli cells to produce androgen-binding protein and inhibin art Together with testosterone, promotes the proliferation of Sertoli cells. Growth Hormone (GH) or Somatotropin (STH) is secreted from adenohypophysn pituitary gland. It stimulates cellular growth and proliferation, growth and repair of bones, muscles and connective tissue. In the liver cells, it promotes glycogenesis, deamination and glycogenesis.    Prolactin (PRL), Lactogenic, Luteotropic (LTH) a Mammotropic Hormone (MTH) issecraedly the lactotroph cells of anterior pituitaiy ll humans, it may act   as a mild growth hormone, but its main physiological effect is to activate growth of breasts dung pregnancy and secretion of milk by mammary glands after child birth. Luteinizing Hormone (LH) or Interstitial Cells to Stimulating Hormone (ICSH) is secreted from adenohypophysis of pituitary gland. In man, it stimulates the growth and function of the interstitial cells of testes (Leydig cells) which secrete the male hormone (androgens) to regulate the development of second sexual characters. In women, its stimulates last   stages   of   oogenesis, ovulation development of corpus luteum and secretion of progesterone by the corpus luteum.
