  • question_answer
\[5mL\]of \[0.4N\text{ }NaOH\]is mixed with \[20mL\]of\[0.1N\text{ }HCl\]. The pH of the resulting solution will be

    A)  \[6\]

    B)  \[7\]

    C)  \[8\]

    D)  \[5\]

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

: Mill moles of \[NaOH=5\times 0.4=2\] Milli moles of \[HCl=20\times 0.1=2\] So 2 mill moles of \[NaOH\] and 2 mill moles of  \[HCl\] completely neutralise each other result. into a neutral solution \[(pH=7)\].
