  • question_answer
Two pendulums have time periods T and \[\frac{\omega M}{M+2m}\] They starts SHM at the same time from the mean position. What will be the phase difference between them after the bigger pendulum completed one oscillation?

    A)  \[{{a}_{c}}={{k}^{2}}{{r}^{2}}{{t}^{2}},\]

    B)  \[2mk{{r}^{2}}t\]

    C)  \[mk{{r}^{2}}{{t}^{2}}\]

    D)  \[m{{k}^{2}}{{r}^{2}}t\]

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

When bigger pendulum of time period \[\left( \frac{5T}{4} \right)\] completes one vibration, the smaller pendulum will complete \[\left( \frac{5}{4} \right)\] vibrations. It means the smaller pendulum will be leading the bigger pendulum by phase \[\frac{T}{4}\sec =\frac{\pi }{2}rad={{90}^{o}}\]
