                     Pigment associated with photomorphogenesis is phytochrome. Phytochrome is a bright blue or bluish-green protein having two inter convertible forms P660 and P730. Phytochromes are also associated with photoperiodism i.e., effect of duration of light or photoperiod on plants. Chlorophyll is green magnecium containing pigment present in chloroplast. Its main function is photosynthesis. Carotenoids are hydrocarbons. They are xanthophyll and carotene and present in chloroplast. Anthocyanins are water soluble pigments which present in cell vacuoles.
