    Solution :

                     In Cannizaro's reaction aldehyde which do not contain any a-hydrogen atom undergo self oxidation and reduction reaction on treatment with concentrated, solution of caustic alkali. HCHO and\[{{C}_{6}}{{H}_{5}}CHO\]give Cannizaro's reaction because they do not consist a-hydrogen atom.
