    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

Mescaline is a water soluble white powdery alkaloid, \[{{C}_{11}}{{H}_{17}}N{{O}_{3}}\]which is obtained from the crowns of cactus (Lophophora Williamson) or peyote. The dried crown or mescal buttons have been chewed for centuries by the locals during religious ceremonies in Mexico and Southern Texas. The alkaloid (also called anhalonin) is similar to LSD and is highly hallucinogenic. Mescaline produces vasospasm of cerebral arteries.
