The medi\[2a+3b+4c=0\]an of these numbers\[=\frac{25\alpha +26\alpha }{2}\] \[=25.5a\] \[\therefore \]  Mean deviation about median \[=\frac{\begin{align}   & |a-25.5a|+|2a-25.5a|+...+|-0.5a|+|0.5a| \\  & +...+|50a-25.5a| \\ \end{align}}{50}\]\[=\frac{|a|}{25}(0.5+1.5+2.5+...+24.5)\] \[=\frac{|a|}{25}\times \frac{25}{2}(0.5+24.5)=\frac{25|a|}{2}\] \[\therefore \]  \[50=\frac{25|a|}{2}\Rightarrow |a|=4\]
