  • question_answer
In a circular coil (1) of radius R, current \[I\] is flowing and in another coil (2) of radius 2R a current \[2I\] is flowing, then the ratio of the magnetic fields produced by the two coils is

    A) 1: 1

    B) 1:2

    C) 2: 1

    D) 3:1

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    Magnetic field for coil 1 \[B=\frac{{{\mu }_{0}}Nl}{2R}\] Magnetic field for coil 2 \[{{B}_{2}}=\frac{{{\mu }_{0}}N(2l)}{2(2R)}=\frac{{{\mu }_{0}}Nl}{2R}\]                 \[\therefore \]  \[\frac{{{B}_{1}}}{{{B}_{2}}}=\frac{1}{1}\]
