    Solution :

                     The resistance of two arms on the opposite corners of a square = R + R = 2R. Therefore, for equivalent resistance between two opposite corners of a square, we have two resistance each of value 2R in parallel. So,                 \[\frac{1}{R}=\frac{1}{2R}+\frac{1}{2R}\]                 \[\frac{1}{R}=\frac{1+1}{2R}+\frac{2}{2R}\] R = R
