    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Adrenal glands provide the body with an emergent ?chemical defence mechanism? in stress condition that threatens the physical integrity and chemical constancy of the body. After the "Fight or flight? reaction, the body remains in a state of shock for sometime just like a country after a war. Heart beat, cardiac output, blood pressure etc go down in this ?shock condition?. Pituitary gland is called as master gland of the body because most of its hormones control the activity level of other endocrine glands. Thymus is haemopoietic as well as endocrine gland. It secretes thyroxin hormone. Testes contain interstitial cells or cells of Leydig, which secrete various male hormones (androgens). The main androgen is testosterone.
