                     Mercury (Hg) is most common and toxic metal. In Japan and Sweden Minamata disease is caused due to coumption of Hg polluted fishes by the human beings. Lead comes in water from lead processing industries such as paint industry. Its consumption causes damage to liver, head, kidney and reduction in haemoglobin formation. Cadmium poisoning is called itai-itai in Japan. Cadmium consumption causes diarrhoea, bone deformation, kidney damage retarded growth, CNS injury etc.
