                     A composite or multiple fruit is constituted of a group of fruidets developed from different flowers of an inflorescence, ie, this fruit develops from a complete infloresence. These are of two types. (i) Soros is : Jackfruit, mulberry, pineapple (ii) Syconus : Ficus sp. Berry is simple fruit which develops from the ovary of single flower. It is many seeded fruit, eg. Tomato, guava, papaya, grapes. Acnene is also a simple fruit. It develops from monocarpellary unilocular ovary. Fruit wall is not fused with seed coat, eg. Rose, Mirabilis, Clematis, lotus. An aggregate of simple fruits borne by a single flower is known as etaerio.
