    D)  dsDNA

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

HIV is enveloped within a membrane which is made up of several Gp 120 and Gp 41 glycoprotein. Both of these glycoproteins resemble spiked Dots which give the HIV the look of a horse chestnut. The central part called core of HIV contains two single strands of RNA, reverse transcriptase enzyme, P-15 protein which is associated to RNA, inner covering of P-24 and outer covering of P-28. The viruses containing ssDNA are \[\phi \times 174\], coliphage S-13 etc. Adenovirus, herpes simplex, chickenpox, small  pox, polyoma virus contain dsDNA. The common ds RNA viruses are wound tumour virus, rice dwarf virus, reovirus etc.
