    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Silk is a pasty secretion of caterpillar of silkworm during cocoon formation. The silk is secreted from silk glands which are extended from 4th to 8th segment of the abdomen part of the body. Silk glands are actually modified salivary glands. Silk is composed of two types of proteins.   Fibroin: It constitute about 75% of the silk  thread.  Servicing: Constitute about 25% of the silk thread. Keratin is a fibrous protein typically insoluble in water or dilute salt solution. Fibroin of silk is best example of p-keratin. Globulin and albumin are globular proteins. These are soluble and colloidal proteins, eg, egg albumin, serum globulin.
