(ii) We aim at \[C(g)+\frac{1}{2}{{O}_{2}}(g)\xrightarrow{{}}CO(g)\]     \[\Delta H=?\] Subtracting Eq. (ii) from Eq. (i), and          \[\Delta H=R-S\]
