Hepatic portal system The vein or veins that transport blood containing the absorbed products of digestion from the intestine directly to liver and hepatic artery supplies blood to the liver. Pulmonary artery is the artery that conveys deoxygenated blood from the right ventricles of the heart to the lungs, where it receives oxygen.
